When Your Spouse Is Struggling — Faith-Based Help for Marriages Affected by Addiction

    By Grant Billings
    Share:

When your spouse is struggling with addiction, your marriage feels like it's drowning. Trust is broken. Communication fails. Intimacy disappears. You feel alone in your own home.

But God is in the business of restoration — not just of individuals, but of relationships. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, 'A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.' When God is at the center of your marriage, even addiction cannot destroy it.

Seek help together. Individual recovery is essential, but couples counseling that addresses addiction's impact on the relationship is equally important.

Don't give up on your marriage. Don't give up on your spouse. And don't try to be their savior — point them to the One who is.
